Mark Cliff joins 20-20 Trustees as Independent Trustee Director

We’re excited to announce another addition to the 20-20 Trustees team as Mark Cliff has joined us as our latest Trustee Director.

As a professional trustee, Mark has undertaken a number of positions with Manchester Airport Group (MAG) for the last 6 years including working as Head of Pensions with responsibility for all aspects of pension provision. Mark’s responsibilities at MAG included management of senior stakeholders on strategy, funding, investment, financial accounting and oversight of delivery of trustee services by third-party providers. Mark also managed the Trade Union relationship for pensions.

Mark previously worked as a sole practitioner as an independent trustee and is Chair of Trustees to four defined benefit (DB) schemes with assets ranging from £20m to £900m. He is also Chair of Trustees for one defined contribution (DC) scheme and also part of an employer governance committee for a DC Master Trust.

Prior to his time at MAG Mark worked as a Senior Manager within ‘big four’ consultancies for 12 years during stints with PwC, Deloitte and KPMG.

20-20 Trustees MD, Naomi L’Estrange, said “I am delighted to welcome Mark to 20-20 Trustees, he brings a wealth of experience of all the issues currently facing UK pension schemes and is a great addition to the team.”

We’re excited to expand the team further in line with our long-term plans for the business and are excited about the role Mark will play as Trustee Director on some of our key clients’ schemes.
