Professional Pensions established the Women in Pensions Awards in 2018 to highlight the work of the countless inspiring and pioneering women who work in all disciplines across the UK pensions industry. We are delighted to have three members of the 20-20 Trustees team shortlisted this year, in several categories, alongside our fellow pension industry professionals.
Managing Director of 20-20 Trustees Naomi L’Estrange is a finalist in both Role Model of the Year and Trustee of the Year categories. Her role is split between acting as a Trustee on pensions schemes and leading 20-20 Trustees – and she enjoys both equally.
She is a passionate advocate for gender equality and diversity and as a successful female business leader Naomi will always speak up for both where necessary. She wants to encourage others to have confidence in their private voice so that the industry can be challenged on issues such as climate change and the environment. Naomi is a very well-known and respected figure in the industry and is an inspiring role model to the 20-20 Trustees team.
Aimée Denham is a Trustee Director and has been shortlisted in the Most Inspiring Returner category. She returned to her career after becoming a mum and has shown that it is possible to enjoy a demanding role and fulfill parental responsibilities by embracing flexible working. She wants to remove the stigma that can be associated with career breaks and part-time working and has sought to be a champion of this model for more junior members of staff. Her colleagues have described her as being inspirational in balancing the challenges of work and life.
Another double nominee is Dana Day, Head of Business Development. Dana is a finalist in both the Saleswoman/Marketer of the Year and Change Excellence of the Year categories. Whilst new to 20-20 Trustees, Dana remains passionate about contributing to the positive evolution of the pensions industry and works hard to bring together diverse people and ideas to help both her own and others’ organisations thrive. Dana is grateful for the support she received from the Cardano Group whilst there – it’s with thanks, in large part, to her former colleagues that she has the honour of participating in this year’s awards event.
The winners are due to be announced on 25 November at a virtual award ceremony – watch this space.
